MiniMeis shoulder carrier in use at a parade

The carrier that lets you actually use your hands.

Took the MiniMeis to a Memorial Day parade today. Logistics: my older kids were walking with the little league group, so I had to drop them at the start, drive to the end with my wife and the babies, and then walk back to the start with baby #4. Without a carrier that's a juggling act — a squirmy kid, a bag of candy, drinks, and a long walk before the parade even begins. With the MiniMeis, #4 rode my shoulders the entire route and my hands stayed free for everything else.

The unexpected thing was how many people stopped to ask about it. Most parents along the route were carrying their kid in front, riding them on shoulders with a death-grip, or wrestling a stroller through the crowd. The MiniMeis just sits there doing its job — kid up high with a great view of the parade, parent's hands open — and apparently nobody around here had seen one. Half a dozen conversations about it on the walk. And not once during the day did I worry about losing my grip on him.
