Lenovo Legion Pro 7i (2025)
A laptop that feels like it's from the future.
Bought this last fall to replace an MSI that was itself a replacement for an old ROG. I loved the ROG, but the screen hinge gave up after years of abuse. The MSI was supposed to be a stopgap and ended up being one — its keyboard only registered three simultaneous key presses, which limited gaming in ways you don't appreciate until you can't sprint, jump, and aim at the same time. So I went big with the Legion.
It handles everything I throw at it on the top of the graphics spectrum. Code, games, VR, whatever — it just runs. The one real complaint: the right Ctrl key is a Copilot key that I cannot deprogram. Microsoft pushed the hardware key down to manufacturers and Lenovo locked it. Minor in absolute terms, infuriating every time I instinctively reach for it.
